Adam Carter started Carter’s Customs out of his two-car garage in 2016. Adam graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a Concentration in Motorsports.
Adam has always loved building things. His father, also an engineer, nourished that love throughout childhood and into adulthood. His father’s love of cars became Adam’s love of cars. Growing up, Adam enjoyed working on Fords, Chevys, Buicks, and Pontiacs with his dad. His dad is nondiscriminatory when it comes to cars. However, Adam grew to love Mustangs more than any other vehicle.
Though his first real project car was a ‘64 Corvair, Adam’s first fabrication of unique pieces took place on his ‘93 LX Notchback. He used this car to make big moves, such as grafting a ‘99 Cobra bumper onto the front. This white Mustang was so unique that it graced the pages of several car magazines (its image still roams the Internet.)
Currently, Adam has an ‘04 Mach 1 that he has heavily modified and is in the process of converting it into a pure track car. This makes it the perfect vehicle for testing out our new line of track oriented products. *We strive to make everything we sell with the highest quality materials, as well as, being functional, aesthetically pleasing, and maintaining street-ability (where applicable).
On a more personal note, Adam is a husband and father first. Everything he does is for his family and to provide a better life for them. They make a lot of sacrifices to allow him to pursue his dream, which makes him extremely grateful and humbled.
